San Gimignano Apartment "Trilo Lux" meaning three room deluxe apartment is located on the ground floor of Borgo della Meliana. Situated in the heart of Tuscany, in the centre of the triangle formed by the towns of Florence-Siena-Pisa, on average 30/40 km away, Borgo della Meliana is extremely close to ancient villages and medieval and Etruscan towns such as San Gimignano (18km), Certaldo (10km), Volterra (28km).
Borgo della Meliana comprises a main building that has undergone various changes and extensions over the centuries, two other buildings once used as cellars, sheds and a granary, these old buildings now host eleven large apartments and small villas each with two or three bedrooms, an outdoor terraced area and private garden, as well as the wide common garden area, the oven area, swimming pool.
Borgo della Meliana is one of the very few farm complexes in the area to be "listed" by the Artist and Cultural Heritage Council and therefore the restructuring and restoration work was carried out with maximum respect to the original historic building, in addition special attention has been paid to providing all modern conveniences such as heating and air conditioning in all the rooms, satellite tv, fast Internet, common laundry room, swimming pool with jacuzzi and sun bathing area with lounges and umbrellas.
The most recent renovations were completed in March 2004, so the apartments and villas are fresh and spotless and maintained to the highest possible standards.
The apartments and villas have been furnished with painstaking attention to every detail, in line with the style and taste of Tuscan houses: furniture and furnishing complements are mostly antique and have been found following a long and patient search in the area.
The rooms are tastefully decorated, the traditional materials used and the warm shades of colour are harmoniously combined to give each room a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.
