Il Portico is situated on a 45 acre olive farm and vineyard right in the heart of Chianti, only 30 minutes south of Florence. The hamlet is only 1 km from the pretty town of San Casciano Val di Pesa, and 14 kms from Florence that is also reachable by bus.

Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Volterra, Lucca and the famous Riviera della Versilia are all at a distance of no more than 45/60minutes drive from San Casciano. Il Portico is part of a small "borgo", a hamlet, called Villa Casavecchia surrounded by olive-groves and vineyeards, on top of a hill. Il Portico retains it's antique rural atmosphere despite it's major renovation adding all the modern comforts necessary.

This double story home dates back to the 18th century, it comprises 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. This apartment is not suitable for families with children under 10 years old.

The cozy living room has a French doors opening on to a porch equipped for al fresco dining. From the living room French doors opens onto a terraced area covered by a pergola of San Giovese grapes, a wonderful place to relax or have an aperativo. The kitchen is very well equipped and has a dishwasher. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.

All linens and towels are provided and changed weekly. Cleaning is provided twice per week.
